The BWT AQANANO XP is a physical scale inhibitor intended for homes where water hardness is below 35°f. Thanks to electrical impulses, it transforms part of the limescale into nanocrystals that remain suspended in the water and limit their deposition on walls, faucets, and hot water production equipment.
Unlike a water softener, the AQANANO XP does not remove minerals from the water and does not alter its composition. It does not add sodium, and does not consume salt or regeneration water.

How does the AQANANO XP scale inhibitor work?
Electrical impulses create nanocrystals from the naturally present limescale in the water. These crystals cannot agglomerate or easily adhere to surfaces in contact with water. Limescale remains present, but its deposition is limited, which helps maintain pipe flow, the efficiency of hot water producers, and the lifespan of installations.

Maintenance
The cartridge has a lifespan of 110 m³, or approximately one year for a household of four people depending on consumption. The device counts the volume of water treated and indicates the replacement time on its LED display. Compatible replacement cartridge: BWT AQA NANO, reference P0015730.
Professional installation
Installation and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified professional. A suitable pre-filter is mandatory upstream and is not supplied with the device. A 230 V electrical outlet must also be available nearby.
Before any installation, BDS Hydro Tech recommends checking the water hardness and the network configuration to confirm that the AQANANO XP is the suitable solution for the home.
